Who is responsible?
Level Up! by Levi is the independent tutoring service of Levente Szolga-Tokes, based in Ireland. I am responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email levelupbylevi@gmail.com.
Information I use
If you contact me by email or LinkedIn, I receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, contact details, learning goals and message. When we arrange lessons, I may keep scheduling details, learning notes and work you share. The website’s hosting and security services also process necessary technical information, such as requests and IP addresses. Please do not send sensitive information unless it is needed for your learning.
Why I use it
I use enquiries to respond to your request and take steps towards possible lessons; lesson information is used to organise and deliver tutoring. These uses normally rely on steps taken at your request before a contract and/or performing a contract. Necessary website security and preventing misuse rely on legitimate interests in keeping the service safe. Information required by law is handled under the relevant legal obligation. A testimonial is published only with appropriate permission, which can be withdrawn.
Tests and Writing
Online Reading, Listening, Grammar and Vocabulary results are preliminary learning estimates, not an externally accredited qualification or a final automated placement decision. Answers, progress and Writing drafts can be stored locally in your browser on your device. I do not receive a Writing draft merely because you type it; you must choose to send it using your own email application. Speaking and final placement involve my personal review.
Cookies and device storage
The protected student area uses a strictly necessary signed sign-in cookie so your browser can access the tests. It can last for up to 30 days, or until you sign out or clear it. Student test progress and Writing drafts may be kept in your browser’s local or session storage; use the test reset or sign-out options, or clear website data in your browser, to remove them. The public website does not ask you to consent to optional advertising cookies because none are deliberately deployed as part of Level Up! assessment or contact features. Any future non-essential tracking must be reviewed before activation.
Providers and outside links
Cloudflare provides website delivery, access protection and related security services. Google Workspace supports lesson organisation, messages, learning documents and online meetings. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts. LinkedIn, Instagram and external learning resources are separate websites when you choose to open them; their policies apply. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, subject to applicable transfer safeguards. I do not sell student details or use them for targeted advertising.
How long I keep information
I keep enquiry correspondence only while needed to respond or establish a teaching relationship, unless a longer period is necessary for a legitimate follow-up or legal requirement. Lesson-related information is retained while needed to teach, support learners and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations, then reviewed and securely deleted when no longer necessary. Locally stored test answers remain on your device until you clear them or your browser removes them. The test sign-in cookie has a maximum 30-day lifetime; technical log retention depends on the hosting service settings.
Your rights
Subject to applicable legal conditions, you can ask to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to processing; or request data portability. If a use relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact me using the email above. You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. I review this notice when the website or my data-handling practices change.
